You were my biggest mentor, the man whose footsteps I’ve followed in. You helped me become the man I am today. You always have a place in my heart and I couldn’t be more blessed to be your namesake. I will forever miss you. I love you poppa Jones! ❤

Dan and i, shared so many adventures along with a few misadventures, in the over 60 years that we were, not only friends, We were BFAM and still are Brothers from Another Mother ! I will miss his many emails relating to our early days growing up in South Phoenix. Roosevelt school in the 50s, Swimming in the Roosevelt swimming pool, Surfing the canal on a hood off of somebody’s old car, As it was towed behind a truck and we all survived. Our hunting and fishing trips were also very eventful. Dan, was sitting on the tailgate of my old Scout while we were driving along the beach in Rocky Point. I just happened to look back and saw Dan fall off of the tailgate and roll head over heels and laughing at the same time, Again he survived. Our hunting trip to the Camp Wood area in 1965 was filled with so many memories. A broken axle on the Scout, One of the heaviest snow storms in Arizona history, Waking up to find Dan covered with 2 feet of snow, Yes he wanted to sleep out under the stars. Yep we all survived again.
Stan, I want to thank you for sharing your brother with me.
Linda, Thank you for caring for and loving Dan, He loved you so very much. He would say something about Old What’s Her Name and then smile.
Happy Trails my Brother
