David Allen Obituary

Allen, David A.
55, passed away on Dec. 17, 2008 in his home in Gillette, Wyoming, with his family by his side. He is survived by his wife Rebecca Brian Allen, his children Jennifer, Levi, Lisa and Cindy and 3 grandchildren. He is also survived by his parents Andrew and Lois Allen, 2 brothers, Duane and Bradley and 2 sisters Evelyn Smith and Marlene Riggs. Dave grew up in Tempe, Arizona. And there aren't enough words to describe how full his life was. He was a man who lived for his family and loved to work. In 1991 David and Becky decided to move to Gillette Wyoming for a job opportunity as a General Manager for EMS. His hobbies continued to grow after moving to Gillette. He enjoyed cooking, gardening, hunting, being with the family and grandbabies (even to listen to them cry), pranks/jokes, laughing, Mexican food, fireworks, camping, and attending church. Dave was always looking for an excuse to be in the kitchen to cook. He prided himself on his dutch oven cooking and was always looking for new techniques. His interest in fast cars and motorcycles was still thriving. He was involved in many endurance races with his motorcycles and continued to make his "toys" faster. Shortly before being diagnosed with a terminal illness in July of 2005, Dave started AG Mining Service with a friend. Even with his illness he continued to work from his home and seek ways to make the business better. He will always be known for his high energy, generosity, incredible work ethic, organizational skills, and loving personality and especially his faith in God. Funeral Services and internment were held Dec. 20, 2008 in Gillette Wyoming. The family can be contacted at [email protected]
