David Berkey Obituary
of Scottsdale, left us to be in the presence of our Lord on June 9, 2013. David was born January 22, 1931, in Des Moines, Iowa. He came with his family to Phoenix in 1947. He graduated from North High in 1949 and began his life vocation in the nursery business. Later, he did landscape construction, design and installation. David was married to Nancy Van Proyen for 58 years. She survives along with their children: Virginia (Ray) Lawhead, David Jr. (Jerrine), Marilyn (John) McAloon, Jennifer (Gary) Buchholz, Gretchen (David) Eichstedt, 13 grandchildren and one great-grandson. His sister, Cherie Klomp also survives. A celebration of David's life will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday, July 7th at New Life Community Church, 2500 N. Scottsdale Road
