David Brockbank Obituary

Brockbank, David Nelson
passed away at age 61, on April 13, 2015. David was a beloved husband, father and son and terrific friend. He was a strong man of faith. His kindness, sweetness and sense of humor always brought out the best in everyone around him. He is survived by his loving wife Xan Daley, son Joshua, mother LaVonne Aloha Brockbank, sister Kathy (John) Murphy, sister Joanne (Mark) Day and brother Gary (Marilee) Brockbank. David was born in Salt Lake City and grew up in the beautiful Wasatch front. As a boy he spent many wonderful times in the mountains with his family and loved spending time with his father. He served an LDS mission to Australia, Brisbane. David will be greatly missed by his family and friends as well as his colleagues at work. A visitation will held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 6840 E. Gold Dust Ave, Scottsdale, AZ 85253 at 10:00 am. Saturday, April 18 with funeral services at 11:30 am. Burial will follow in the Thatcher Arizona Cemetery, Thatcher, AZ. at 6pm. Arrangements entrusted to Messinger Indian School Mortuary.

He was my boss, when I was a loan officer. I had been looking for him. I just now found him. He used to take my son and put him on his lap and play him like he was a guitar.

My sister Lisa English, used to do the same thing to me when I was little. Every time my son came into the office, he would say, "Guitar Man!" and my son would start giggling. My son is 16 now, he was about 4 then.

Xan I just heard the news. I cannot begin to tell you how terribly saddened I am by this loss. Dave was such a light and good spirit...I've never known anyone like him. He will be truly missed. My prayers are with you and all of your family.

My deepest sorrows for you Xan. I just heard the the terrible news and my first thought was for you Xan. I hope that you are feeling as good as can be during this time, o really did love Dave and always enjoyed grabbing lunch and hanging out with him during the good old days.
