David Martin Obituary
David R. Martin, 84, of Phoenix, went to be with the Lord April 18, 2016. He is survived by his wife Sandra, five children; Mary Beth, Mary Ann, David F. (Joanne) Martin, Christopher A. (Laurie) Martin, and Alicia (Keith) Herron, 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He served honorably in the US Navy during the Korean War. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved boating. David was the Director for Catholic Charities and one of the Founders for the Foundation for Senior Adult Living. He was also the Director for St. Augustine Manor in Cleveland, Ohio where he created apartment housing for low-income seniors. He will be greatly missed and forever loved. Visitation will be Saturday, April 23, from 3-5 PM at A.L. Moore Grimshaw Mortuary, 710 W. Bethany Home Rd. in Phoenix. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, April 25, at 9 AM at St. Gregory's Catholic Church, 3424 N. 18th Ave. in Phoenix. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Hospice of the Valley (1510 E. I remember Mr. Martin from my days as a student and later a worker at St. Gregory's. He did so much for the school. Thank you for your service. My deepest condolences to the entire Martin family.
