David Vostrejs Obituary

Vostrejs, David L
75, of Scottsdale, AZ, passed away on December 13, 2015, surrounded by family. Born and raised in Denver, Colorado, Dave was the third of four children. He served honorably in the US Army from 1962 to 1964, based in Erlangen, Germany. Along with his first wife Marjorie (Bostic) and his four young children, he moved to Scottsdale, AZ, in 1974 and began building his business and lifelong friendships. Dave was an active parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, where his kids went to school, and more recently St. Patrick's Catholic Church. He enjoyed walking his dog each day, attending his grandkid's school and sports activities, and hosting friends and family from all over the country each year for Spring training. He was preceded in death by his father David, mother Olivia (Forte'), sister Jeanne (Vostrejs) Ping, and wife Susan (Finn). He is survived by his sons David (wife Roberta), Leslie (wife Alejandrina), Philip (wife Lisa), and Mark Vostrejs, his two brothers Leonard and John Vostrejs, and 10 grandchildren. The family would like to thank the caring and professional Doctors, Nurses and Staff of Scottsdale Osborn Hospital. A visitation will be held at Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Rd, on Monday evening December 21st, 2015 from 6-9pm. Funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church on Tuesday December 22, 2015, at 10am. In honor of his pride in serving his country and his love of dogs, contributions can be made to either the U.S. Veteran's Initiative or to Petsmart Charities.

David was an exceedingly friendly, honest, intelligent and proud-of-his-sons gentleman. I was blessed to share in his friendship for many years.
