I've known De for over 50 years as we were college fraternity brothers. Our paths crossed again in the early '90s and I found him to be the same friendly and good person that he always was. It was my good fortune to know him.

Doctor D as I always called him from age 13 was an inspiration to everyone he ever came into contact with. His legacy will live on long beyond this day. He was always a positive influence on those around him. A REAL Community leader that will be sorely missed.
Our deepest sympathies go out to the Haddad and Stevenson families for your loss.
