Don was a very inspirational mentor who so enthusiastically always looked to help others improve themselves.. His moving on to the great beyond leaves a void here on Earth, but surely has helped increase the sale of vacant cloud parcels for other angels to buy and develop up in heaven :).. I await the chance to once more share laughs at a buffet with him someday if I can earn the chance to get up there too. -LA-

Don encouraged me to get land certified yrs ago. I'm glad he did as it has served me well. Don was an awesome mentor to me for many years. A wonderful man with a huge heart who would stop what he was doing to help a client or agent. I am sad to know he's not with us anymore. He will be missed by all of those who knew Don. An accomplished musician, a lover of cars and of course Real Estate, mostly land, Don had a contagious laugh that will be missed. My deepest sympathy to his family.

Don was not only our lead land instructor and a complete professional, but a personal friend as well. He always had a laugh with that sonorous voice, and a smile. I am missing him already.

My father is a man of many noteworthy accomplishments. In his youth he was a tremendous drummer, and went on to become a booking agent to huge acts such as the Ink Spots. He traveled all over the world booking bands for the military entertainment, hence how I came to be born in Germany.
He was the founder of the Way Out West Bird Expo, a great artist and a fantastic photographer. He had a love for the outdoors, and this is something he impressed upon me the most. He taught me how to "rough it" when we went camping. He could take us far out in the middle of nowhere and we could survive on total subsistence, and truly appreciate being in a world completely free of creature comforts (many times we fished with sticks and line, as we'd forgotten or run over our fishing poles!). At the same time, he could befriend strangers in a single conversation. It seems the latter is a trait he maintained until the end.

I enjoyed being with Don in the Phoenicians. He loved to learn new things and visit the places we went. He was always friendly to everyone he met. I'll miss him.
