Earlene McDonald Obituary

Earlene McDonald

Phoenix -

(1939-2018) Earlene McDonald, born Earlene Douthitt in 1939, was one of the few true natives of Arizona. Earlene met Mac at a young age and they married in 1959. Earlene was a devoted mother to her two children Brian and Heather, and she also took care of many other neighborhood children when her kids were small. When her children grew up, she became a realtor. Her love of real estate and people then led her to be an amazing landlord. Unlike her husband, she held onto working like a wild cat. Although they did travel extensively and had amazing adventures together with friends, she worked until a few years before her death. Earlene never knew a stranger. She had an amazing memory for names and faces because she genuinely cared about people. She loved her neighborhood and was very involved. She took in strays her whole life. She fought passionately for what she believed in. She will be missed by many. She is survived by her son Brian and daughter-in-law Leda with their twins Jayce and Elaina. She is survived also by her daughter Heather and son-in law Will with their two kids Rebecca and Megan. A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 11, 2018 at 10am at Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary, 719 N. 27th Ave, Phx.
