To all of the Forst family,
My deepest regrets goes out to you all. This world has lost a valuable member to society, to it's culture, and to it's soul. Mr. Forst was always a person I grew up looking up to. As a great father figure to Jenni, Sheri and Mike, his actions as a father helped me to become the man, and father I am today. He will be missed by me and the rest of the Hughes family that were lucky to have lived near him on Beryl street. The golf courses and lakes have also lost a dear friend. My prayers go out to you all, and I am sorry I could not have attended the services and seen you all, I was in Utah for work for two weeks and heard about this just a week ago. Michael, if you read this, and ever are up in the Colorado area, give me a call (623)341-3928. It would be nice to take you fishing or skiing if you ever would like to head up this way. Take care and I miss you all. Michael Hughes

A fine and gentle man who was a pleasure to do business with. Fair, reasonable, courteous and so proud of his wife and family. Over the years a few people touch your lives and you are so grateful for them - Ed was one. He will be deeply missed and we are saddened by the loss. Our deepest sympathy.

Darcy, Sheri, Mike, and Jenni,
I am deeply saddened at the news of Ed's passing. I remember fondly growing up with Darcy and Ed in Illinois. Your mom, Darcy was my best friend and I have rich memories of our crazy times together. I always loved Ed's sense of humor and his kindness. He was a great guy!
I am comforted, as I know you are that He is with the Lord but, I know too that he will be missed by many. I pray that God will grant each of you rich memories and His comfort that it might sustain you in all your days ahead. Know that we will be praying for each of you.
As Always,
Wayne and Connie

Dear Darcy and Family,
Attending the funeral Mass today for your dear Husband and Dad was a witness to his goodness and love. It must have been a "heavenly joy" for him to be looking down and seeing all of his loved ones and friends, of all faiths, joining hands and singing the Our Father. It was a very moving moment. Obviously he touched many lives. His love will always be with you and he will be your strength.
May our Lord grant you the peace that surpasses all understanding.
In His name,
Deacon Joe and Esther Shinske

I am so saddened to hear that such a wonderful man, father & husband has been taken from you all. I worked directly with Ed when he was a Commercial Loan Officer and then again when he was promoted to Senior Vice President of the Commercial Loan Department of United Bank. I will always remember Ed as kind & caring and the best boss I have ever had. I will never forget the day I gave my 2 week notice, as I sat there in his office crying, he told me I was making the right decision, to stay home with my newborn baby.
You are in my prayers and thoughts daily.

Darcy and Family,
I was very shocked and sorry to hear the news about Ed. I have many good memories of Ed. Living across the street from Ed, we became best friends and played on the Lise High School baseball and football teams together. We also played in many pick-up basketball games, golfed together, and played ping pong games in our basements. We worked out together during the summers getting ready for football, and we worked together one summer at the King's Palace restaurant. Darcy, it was you that introduced me to Ed when I moved to Lisle and started high school there early in our sophomore year.
During our college years, I recall driving up to DeKalb to watch the Bear games at your apartment. You and Ed were gracious hosts, barbecuing hamburgers and politely kicking me out when it was time for me to go.
I was honored to be Godfather to your first child Sheri. You and Ed have raised such a wonderful family. Ed had a very successful and fulfilling life. I know he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
My sincere sympathy is with all of you,
Pat Wahlen

Darcy and Family, I was so very sad to hear of your loss. I worked with Ed at United Bank when it was the turquoise building and then at the new tower building. He was a wonderful person to work for and I truly enjoyed working with him. Remember all of the good memories and know that he is one of the shining stars up above watching over you. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Ed touched many lives. Ed will be greatly missed, not just by family and friends but by all who worked with and for Ed. For many years our firm provided design services for Sun State, Ed and I worked together on many architectural tenant improvements for his property at Papago Spectrum. I always new Ed to be fair and appreciative of work well done. My prayers for his family and friends, may your faith in God sustain you during these dark times. God bless you all.
