Lynn, Susie and Matt, Jerry and I send you our deepest sympathy. I am so glad to have had a fine visit with Lis just a few years ago while in Phoenix. I learned more about her life and interests in those two hours than I had known in the 40+ years we had been extended family! What a gal! May you find comfort in one another and the memories you share.

Lis and I worked together at Diamond's for many years. Although I was in the Display Department, one of my responsibilites was working on new stores and remodels. So we became real partners, and I might add that Lis is one of the reasons I not only stayed in Display for the next 20 years, but also moved more heavily into Store Design. Lis was the first person to call after I moved back to the Phoenix area in 1999. Although she said she was appauled that I'd moved into a retirement community.
She had a wonder sense of humor and a beautiful mind, and will be greatly missed in this world.
My thoughts and prayer are with her family.

My most heartfelt condolences to the entire Steckner family. You are in my thoughts. Please let me know if I can help in any way.

Lis and I met in tenth grade at Henry Grady High School in Atlanta GA and were roommates our freshman year at the Woman's College of the University of North Carolina in Greensboro. It was an intense and hilarious year, thanks to Elisabeth. Her bureau drawers were always neat as a pin; mine, always a clutter. We had a fun year, thanks to her laughter and pranks!
