Felix Chavez Obituary
83, died peacefully on December 14, 2008, to be with his beloved wife Edwina. He honorably served in WW II as a Combat Medic, enjoyed coaching Little League and his daughters Softball Leagues. He will be remembered as a loving husband and father and for the love of his country. He is survived by his daughters Eileen, Olivia, JoAnn and Tina, eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, his niece Deanna and nephew Bernie. Visitation December 18th, Thursday, 6-8 pm at Hansen Mortuary, 8314 N. 7th St. Mass Friday, at 12:00 Noon, Most Holy Trinity Parish, 8620 N. 7th St. Interment will follow at the National Memorial Cemetery of AZ 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd.

I enjoy life because of my dad. He showed me what real love was with my mother. His love for all of us girls and our families was never ending. Fishing, camping, making tamales will be missed but never forgotten. Serving our country and being proud of it, sharing all the stories will be remembered. I had the honor of telling my dad before he passed I knew he loved me to.. JoAnn

I am so sorry to hear of your loss, my heart goes out to the Chavez family at this time and in the days ahead. I will always have great memories of growing up playing softball with Felix and my dad coaching.

Mr. Chavez made a huge impact on me as a shy, untalented softball player when I was in the fourth grade. He was so kind and encouraging to me. I enjoyed running into him over the years; and I am so happy that I had the opportunity to see him several times recently, along with Olivia, as she and I accompanied our fathers to therapy. To his family, my sincere sympathy on your loss.
