Frances Firestone Obituary

Frances R. Firestone died 5/11/07 at her home in Scottsdale, AZ, in her 92nd year. She was the widow of Dr. B.I. Firestone and worked with him until their move to Arizona in 1975. She was one of the first 500 instrument-rated pilots in the country. She played tennis until she was 87 years old and played bridge with her friends until two weeks before her death. She was a world traveler, a gourmet cook, and an avid reader. She loved and supported music and the arts. She was preceded in death by her brothers Alex and Lee, by her husband Bert and her constant companion, Trump. She is survived by her sons Jack and Alan, her daughters-in-law Marsha and BJ, grandchildren Ethan and Joshua, her sister-in-law Marge, and nieces Suzy and Janie and nephew Lee. Donations in her memory may be made to: Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014-5656.
