Francis Gruler Obituary

Gruler, Francis (Frank) Robert
Our loving, beloved, and devoted father, husband, and brother, passed away March 23, 2012 after a 3 year illness. Frank was born 8/26/33 in the Bronx, N.Y. to Francis & Anna Gruler. After graduating Regis H.S. and Fordham University, Frank served his country in the Army stationed in Germany. Upon his return he obtained his CPA certification and worked for Parent's Magazine and later for Abrams Publishing where he gained his appreciation & affection for fine art, before moving his family to Phoenix in 1971. Frank then founded Phx. Mgmt. Services a medical billing and consulting group. Throughout his life he remained involved in his wife's (Maureen's) passion as an artist. All who met Frank always left saying the same four words, a phrase which we all believe summed up his wonderful life and legacy, "What a great guy." He was a brilliant man always at the ready with an encouraging word. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Maureen (Mo), his sister Ann (Bafundo) of Franklin, Tenn, his 3 children, Bob, Joan, & Jim, his 12 grandchildren, Amy, Stephanie, Robby, Joey, Eric, Mia, Anthony, Nicholas, Alexandria, Siena and Hunter, along with 2 great grandchildren, Sean & Marcus, all affectionately calling him "Papa". Pre-deceased by grand-daughter Stephanie Giannini. Military honor services will be held this Friday, April 20th, 2:30PM, at the National Memorial Cemetery (Cave Creek Rd. and Pinnacle Pk Rd). In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice of the Valley.
