Dr. Frank Anthony Agnone, Sr.

West Palm Beach, FL - Dr. Frank Anthony Agnone, Sr., age 91, of West Palm Beach, Florida, and formerly of Scranton, passed peacefully with deepened conversion to his Catholic faith on October 19, in Phoenix, AZ, where he was visiting with his son, Dr. Frank A. Agnone Jr., and family. He is survived by his wife, Edie Cruise Agnone, Manassas. His first wife, Louise Laurenzi Agnone, with whom he shared 57 years of marriage, preceded him in death in 2010.

Born in Scranton on May 18, 1927, Frank was the son of the late Joseph Agnone and Mary Tremilozi Agnone. He was graduated from the University of Scranton, Temple Dental School, Philadelphia, and Wayne State University School of Medicine, Detroit, MI, before beginning his oral surgery practice in Scranton in 1960. He was respected by his colleagues and revered by his patients until his retirement. Frank cherished time with his family especially his dear grandchildren

He is also survived by his children, Marilouise Ruane and husband, Thomas, Scranton, PA; Marisa Regan and husband, Robert, Manassas, VA,; Frank Jr., MD, and wife, Brenda Dennert, MD, Phoenix, and Francine Kevra and husband, John, Scranton. He is also survived by his brother, Anthony, Clarks Summit, Pa., and grandchildren Lauren Regan Beckwith, and husband, R.J., Wilmington, NC; Joelle Regan Lepone, and husband, Justin, Monrovia, MD; Peter Agnone Ruane, Esq., and wife, Alanna Kaivalya, Ph.D., New York City; Natalie Regan Pfleger, and husband, Paul, and Robert Regan, all of Arlington, VA; Brian Regan, Richmond, VA; Rachel Kevra, Scranton, and fiancé, Kristopher Serniak, Mayfield; Kathryn and Ann Kevra, Philadelphia, Sarah, Christopher and Joseph Agnone, Phoenix, and great-grandchildren Allie, Liam, Brady, Adam, Lucas and Jack A grandson, Martin Agnone Ruane, preceded him in death in 2016.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated by the Most Reverend James S. Wall, Bishop of the Diocese of Gallup, NM, on Wednesday, November 21, at 11 a.m. at Mt. Claret Retreat Center, 4633 N 54th St, Phoenix, followed by a reception for friends and family. Internment Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton, PA.
