Frank Mozeko Obituary

Mozeko, Frank Anthony
age 93, a resident at the Arizona State Veterans Home, died on March 17, 2011 after a long illness. Born on January 29, 1918 in Saratoga Springs, New York to the late George and Anna Mozeko, Frank moved to Schenectady at an early age. Frank volunteered to join the US Army in 1936 and served throughout WWII until 1945. His service included tours in Panama, Hawaii and Europe including the Normandy invasion. After a whirlwind romance, he was united in marriage to Ann R. Tortora on June 15, 1946. He began his employment at the ALCO in Schenectady and worked there through the early 1950's before ultimately ending up at the General Electric Company where he began a 35 year career, and from where he ultimately retired. During the 1950's, Frank and Ann adopted two children, Charles and Barbara, the pride and joy of their lives. In 1981 Frank and Ann retired to the Phoenix area which had been a dream of theirs for many years. Their well deserved retirement included travel, both domestic and abroad, as well as the cultivation of many new friendships. Frank cherished his family which had now expanded to include two beloved grandsons, Michael and Brian. Frank lived out the last 7 years of his life in the Arizona State Veteran's Home where he maintained his strong relationship with God. He was recognized as a friend to all whose lives he touched. He will be dearly missed. Frank is at peace now as he has joined his wife Ann, who passed away in 2008, in God's everlasting kingdom. Frank is survived by his son Charles and his wife Sharon of Tonawanda, NY, his daughter Barbara and her husband James of Hollis, NH, his grandson Michael and his wife Frances of Union City, CA and his grandson Brian and his wife Cameron of West Long Branch, NJ. He is further survived by many relatives and cherished friends. A private memorial service will be held at a future date. Donations in his memory can be made to Arizona State Veterans Home or Positive Image Youth Ministry, c/o Barbara Liberty, 44 Hannah Drive, Hollis, NH 03049.
