Franklin Chapman Obituary

Chapman, Franklin A.
Age 80, of Glendale, Az, passed away at his home on 4/28 after a short illness with cancer. Frank was born in Charleston, South Carolina on September 20, 1934 and was reared in Crawfordville, Georgia. He was the second of four sons born to the Samuel W. Chapman and Reba Louise (Morrow)Chapman. Frank served in the United States Air Force for 20 years. He served in Korea and Vietnam during both of those conflicts. After retirement from the Air Force, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and trapping. He was noted for his tremendous yard sales - like only Frank could do. Frank and Diana Beery of Glendale, AZ were joined in holy matrimony on November 19. 1955. During their 59 years of marriage, they were blessed with 2 sons, Larry E. and Rick W. They have one granddaughter Amanda Pierce (Zachary), one grandson Cody J and one great granddaughter Jourdan Nicole Pierce. They all reside in Glendale, AZ. He is survived by two bothers, Samuel F. Chapman (Juanita) of Columbia MD and Russell W. Chapman (Barbara) of Milledgeville, Georgia. Visitation will be held at Best Funeral Home in Peoria,AZ on Sunday 5/3 between 6:30 - 7:30 pm. This will be followed by a graveside service at Resthaven Memorial Park in Glendale on Monday 5/4 at 10:30 am. The family request that any memorials be made in his name to :"Hospice of the valley";, 9435 W. Peoria Ave. Peoria AZ 85345
