Gary Hoffman Obituary
of Gilbert, AZ passed away on January 3, 2015 in Gilbert. Gary was born November 30, 1942 to Bert and Dorothy Hoffman in Ashland, KS. After graduating from Ashland High School, Ashland, KS, he graduated from Fort Hays State University with a BA degree in Psychology. His first job after graduation was with Bristol Labs as a Sales Representative. He then owned Hoffman Motors, Inc. in Dodge City, KS. He later moved to Arizona where he became a Realtor. Gary is survived by his wife, Judy, of the home; a brother, Tom (Lisa) Hoffman of Minneola, KS; and 3 sons, Mitch (Dawn) Hoffman of Overland Park, KS; Brett Hoffman and David Hoffman, both of Dodge City, KS; 3 stepchildren, Barry (Margie) Bridges of Glendale, AZ; Terri Lynn of Sweeney, TX; and Derek (Mary) Bridges of Overland Park, KS. He is also survived by one grandson, Carson Hoffman, and 9 step-grandchildren, Hailey Young, Hayden Young, Ashley Bridges, Jessica Satterfield, Jason Satterfield, Andrew Bridges, Megan Bridges, Victoria Bridges, and Tara Bridges, and one great-step-grandson, Gage Satterfield. Gary was a wonderful and loving husband, father, and friend. He brought joy to those around him with his big, happy smile and his remarkable talent for his always-funny sayings and jokes. His passions were his family, friends, golf, and college football in the fall.

I was so sorry to hear about Gary's passing. He was in the class ahead of me at Ashland, but our two classes were one and the same. Gary was always a fun-loving, great guy. Know you will miss him.

I always looked forward to seeing Gary and be in his fun-loving and always joking presence. His smile was infectious. He will be missed! But the joy he brought to others will live on.
