George Robb Obituary
72, of Peoria, AZ passed away on October 21, 2016. He was born in Augusta, GA at Ft. Gordon and grew up in Golden, Co and later Tulsa, OK and graduated from Tulsa Univ. He joined the USAF, serving from 1965-1975 as a navigator, pilot and pilot instructor flying the F-4, T-38, T-37 and others. He was a proud member of the Black Sheep 8th Tactical Fighter Squadron. George worked for Cessna Aircraft as Regional Sales Manager in Phoenix. He changed careers to land development, first with Knoell Homes and retiring as a VP for Beazer Homes in 2007. He worked on many major residential developments in the Valley. He loved creating communities. Survived by his wife of 50 years, Connie Robb, daughter Kimberly (Jeffrey) Johnson, grandchildren Jonas and Georgia of Morenci, AZ, and son James (Rachel Tessmer) Robb, and grandchildren Mason Robb, and Zac, Madeline, and Thomas Harding of Peoria. Memorial service at a later date. Arrangements by Best Funeral Services, West Valley. Memorial contributions to Alzheimer's Association, Desert Southwest Chapter, 1028 E. McDowell Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85006-2662.

I am so sorry to learn of Mr. Robb's passing. We knew him as a man who was very generous with his time and dedicated to advancing our understanding of Alzheimer's disease. All of us at Mayo Clinic offer our deepest sympathies.

George's mother was my half-sister whom I never got to meet, but I did meet George, his lovely wife Connie and daughter Kimberly with her husband Jeff a few years ago. We had a most enjoyable time together occupied with talking of the past and looking at our family photos. What a pleasant and treasured memory we have of that occasion. Our condolences to his family. Uncle Lon and Aunt Joan Hulen.

George was a great guy. Humorous, polite, just plain nice. I worked with him at both Knoell and Beazer.

I think of George often, working with him I learned patience, he encouraged me to get my pilots license, to pursue opportunity, I am greatfull to have known him
