Morin, Glen E.
86, of Sun City West passed away on November 6, 2013. 6 passed away on November 6, 2013 in Sun City West, AZ. Glen was born in Minneapolis MN on March 6, 1927. He lived in Sun City West since coming to Arizona in 1979. He was married to his high school sweetheart, Betty, for 66 years. Glen served in the Army from 1945 to 1946 in Japan. He retired the first time from Pillsbury Mills at the age of 52. He later went to help out a friend, Jim Watkins, who started Golden Valley Microwave Foods and inventor of Act II microwave popcorn. Glen also implemented the first computer system at SCW Rec Center. He served on many health boards and committees. He served on the Sun Health Foundation for over 25 years, served as Treasurer of the Sun Dome, and on the North West Bank Board. He was a life time member of the Robinsdale Masonic Compass Lodge 265. He is preceded in death by his father Henry Morin and mother Lavina Morin. Glen is survived by his wife Betty of SCW, AZ, son Scott of Casa Grande, AZ , daughter Kristi Lynn Obler of Marshall, MN., and two grandchildren, Nicole Haglund and Michael Obler. Memorial Services at: Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church. 13658 W. Meeker Blvd., Sun City West, AZ 85375. Friday 11/22/2013 at 11:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers memorials can be sent to the Rev. Franklin Greene Fund at Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church. 13658 W. Meeker Blvd., Sun City West, AZ 85375.
