Grandpa,
I will always remember living with you until I was 14 and all the things you taught me over the years. Those are life lessons that can never be forgotten. You had the ability to change someones day with that infectious smile and laugh of yours. I have so many memories of playing catch in the front yard, going golfing, going flying, our late night trips to Great-Grandma's house and most importantly just hanging out.
I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all that you gave to the whole family. You meant so much to so many different people.
People say that Heaven is whatever you want it to be. For you, I picture it being one big Chili's (in a golf course clubhouse) and you are getting all the cheeseburgers you want now. Enjoy them! You have earned them all. Thank you for being such an inspiration and great role model. I will miss you dearly from now until we meet again. I love you! When you see grandma and my mom, tell them I love them and miss them too.

Kristi, my sincere condolences to you. I remember your family gatherings and how your Dad always seemed to have a smile to send everyone's way. We will see his legacy grow and his smile continue in Sam and Melody, his beautiful great-grandchildren. Bless you.

Grandpa, although we haven't been on the same side of the country in quite some time I will never forget spending the weekends with you! I was sweetly reminded of those good times at hospice as you joked with me and cheered on the Blackhawks with me! You never let life get you down no matter what was thrown your way, and moving forward in my life, I too will try and adopt that frame of mine. You are the epitome of unconditional love, you are a better person than most....
Although I am not able to be at your celebration of life in person, I am at ease that I was able to spend your last days with you.
I love you and I will miss you a million times more!
P.S. please play Yahtzee with Aunt Lori until I am able to play with her again, she is going to need the practice :-D

My Dad was AMAZING! He cared about his family with the biggest heart you could imagine. To raise 5 girls and a son, taking them on 2 week vacations every year, sometimes in an unairconditioned car, sleeping in a tent and we all survived was nothing short of a miracle! My best memories are those - seeing the country with mom and dad was the epitome of my youth. I will miss you Dad more than I can say. Please take care of Mom, Lori and Grandma. See you again............someday. I love you.

I have only good memories of my Dad! He was the best man I've ever known! The love and care he gave me NEVER waivered!! I will miss his wonderfully sarcastic sense of humor and his amazing stories of family history and of times past. I promise to pass them down to my children. Being able to sit with him and listen and learn was always so special to me! I will miss him forever!
Dad, I hope your journey was good as now you are back in the loving arms of those who went ahead of you! I love you!

Although we only knew Harry for a short time his impact on us was significant since it's always a pleasure to meet someone so genuine. He was a down to earth, no nonsense man cut from the old school John Wayne cloth who shared great stories and enjoyed life. Our deepest condolences to the family - I know he will be sorely missed but take solace in the joy he brought you.
