Hugh Aitken Obituary

Brigadier General Hugh S. Aitken

Scottsdale - Brigadier General Hugh S. Aitken, USMC (Ret.), passed away peacefully at home on July 15, at the age of 91 in Scottsdale, Arizona. He is survived by his loving wife, Gwen Aitken, his 6 children, Mary Lawrence Yanniello, Elizabeth Pierce (Daniel), Hugh Aitken, William Aitken, Ross Aitken (Leslie), Margaret Aitken, 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and his two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Bentley and Bella. During his tenure in the Marine Corp he had various assignments in the Washington arena, a tour in Korea and 3 tours in Vietnam. He will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery at a future date. Donations in The General's memory may be made to Faith Hospice (faithofaz.com); Wounded Warriors Project (woundedwarriorproject.org); or Multiple Sclerosis Society (nationalmssociety.org/Donate).
