Jack Sipe Obituary

Jack L. Sipe, 82, long time Scottsdale resident, passed away peacefully at his home on September 29, 2006. Born to Lawrence and Edna Sipe in Mt. Pleasant, Arkansas, he moved to Scottsdale with his mother and brother at the age of 2. He graduated from Scottsdale High School in 1942 and married his high school sweetheart, Carman Wood that year. He served in the Navy during World War II and worked in construction throughout his life. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Carman, his daughter Vicki (Kim) Giese of Phoenix, two sons, Larry (Deana) Sipe of Phoenix, Travis Sipe of Iowa, three grandchildren, one great-granddaughter plus many other loving family and friends. Visitation will be on Thursday, October 5, from 6 PM to 9 PM at Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Rd., Scottsdale. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11 AM Friday, Oct. 6, at Paradise Memorial Gardens, 9300 E. Shea Blvd., Scottsdale. A celebration of his life will be held after services on Friday at his home.
