James Browning Obituary

Browning, James
James F. ("Jim") Browning succumbed to the effects of brain cancer on March 30, 2017. He is survived by his wife Ann Bruder Browning, his three children (Lynda Hopkins, Craig Frantz and Robert Browning), and three step-children (Erik Huso, Leann Huso and Blake Huso). He was committed to growing and learning how to truly love his wife. Jim was known for his big heart, his passion for music, photography, scuba and cycling. He took on every new venture with zeal and has been an inspiration to many. He most recently worked as the Director of Project Decision Support for health care provider Dignity Health. A warm thank you to the doctors and staff of Barrow Neurological Institute and St Joseph's Hospital for their exemplary and compassionate care. They were attentive, encouraging and provided constant motivation. A celebratory gathering is planned in San Diego on April 22, 2017. Any donations made in Jim's memory should go to the Gray Matters Foundation: graymattersfoundation.com

Wow, I just found out today that he passed away. My condolences go to Jims family. I met him through friends in 2015 - had lots of intellectual conversations. He introduced me to the music of Trombone Shorty. He will be missed.

I am very sorry to hear about Jim's passing. He was a terrific guy, full of energy and spirit and great laughs. I met Jim while working at Supervalu a very long time ago - he trained me. And even though I left AZ five years ago, I'm so thankful that I got to bump into Jim in 2014. He was such an amazing and genuinely nice person. He will be greatly missed.
