James Fallis Obituary

Rev. James P. Fallis, Jr. James P. Fallis, Jr. died June 4, 2004 at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia. Memorial service will be held at 2:00pm Monday June 7, 2004 at the Calvary Episcopal Church, 123 S. 9th Street, Columbia, MO. Rev. Fallis was born August 12, 1929 in Evanston, IL to James P. and Lauretta Shea Fallis. He married Beverley Ann Hunter on April 18, 1952, she preceded him in death, he then married Judith Kay Cole on February 14, 1971, and she preceded him in death. He graduated in 1950 from Northwestern University with a BS in Marketing and received his master's degree in divinity from the Church Divinity School of the Pacific in Berkeley, CA in 1966. Rev. Fallis served in various capacities in the Episcopal Church for over 35 years, including Indianapolis, IN, New Albany, IN, Columbia, MO and the surrounding community. Jim loved the outdoors, music and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his son Jimmy Fallis and wife Jackie of Indianapolis, IN; son, Frank Wright of Jacksonville, FL; son Mark A. Wright and wife Amber of St Louis; son, Bennet Fallis and wife Kim of Columbia; daughter Linda A. Worachek and husband Kenny of Tampa, FL; daughter, Pamela J. Applegate and husband Rick of New Albany, IN; daughter, Missy Wright of Indianapolis, IN and a sister Jane Gordon and husband Tommy of St Louis. 12 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, one niece and nephew. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or the Jim Fallis Memorial Fund at Calvary Episcopal Church, 123 S. 9th Street, Columbia, MO 65201.
