I remember Joe as a wonderful, Christian man. He was so thoughtful to call me several times after I lost my husband. He raised a fine Christian family also. He is now getting his just reward in heaven.

It was with great sadness that we learned about the passing of Joe Nix. Our thoughts of Joe (Mr. Nix) bring back happy memories of he, and his family and us, and our family, spending time together years ago, when our dad, (Ken Clinkingbeard) and Joe were both coaches at Scottsdale High School. We always knew Joe as a man of integrity, of faith, and especially of family. His awards and induction into the WJC Wrestling Hall of Fame are a testament to the real difference he made in the young lives of those he coached. Our sincerest condolences to his wife, Lora and his extended family. He will be missed.

I am very grateful for having the opportunity to be coached by and positively influence by coach Nix. Many of the life lessons that I learned, I shared with my teams during my 31 years of coaching wrestling. May God's grace continue to flow on the Nix family.
