John Drenten Obituary

Drenten, John
passed away on 11/17/2015. Age 91. He is survived by his wife Pollyann Drenten, his sons Lon Drenten and Greg Brady, his daughter Lorrie Darnell, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and his favorite puppy Kaeko. John was born in Grand Rapids Michigan to John and Margret Drenten. He served in the Navy during World War II. The family moved to Arizona in 1959 and they raised their family in Scottsdale. He retired from Valley National Bank in 1987 as an Assistant Vice President of the Properties department with 19 years of service. John and Pollyann then spent 15 years exploring the United States and Canada in their motor home prior to setting down in Apache Junction to golf, be with friends and support the community. He will be greatly missed by all. Memorial service will be from 1 to 3 PM Saturday December 5th at Meridian Manor Clubhouse 2101 S. Meridian Rd. Apache Junction, Az 85120. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: Terry Drenten Technical Scholarship, c/o Friends of Apache Junction/Att: Roger Hacker, (In memory of John Drenten), City of Apache Junction, 300 E. Superstition Blvd., Apache Junction, AZ 85119.

I met John and Pollyann about 14 years ago. I will miss going to visit John. It has been a privilege to have known him.
