I knew John for many years, grammar school through TUHS but lost track when he went to UA... It's too sad but fond memories and his many friendships can provide a positive remembrance. Everyone liked John and he liked everyone, and that's a lasting good. Heartfelt sympathy to family and friends.

I too just found out about this today, Dec. 13, 2009. I have been trying for several months to locate John, as I had heard that his condition was not good. I'm saddened to lose John, a good friend from my high school years. We both went to the UofA just after H.S. During that time I saw John frequently in Tucson. Since that time in the 1960s, I saw John every once in a while, mostly in Tempe, while I was there visiting my family. My sympathies go to John's family and i will remember him as a good friend with a wonderful sense of humor. Pete Wood

Jane and I just found out today. We're sorry to hear of John's death. We both have fond memories of our years as friends. John's dad, Billy hit the first hardball I ever tried to catch, and I still remember many things I first heard from John. Our memories are happy ones of a good friend and he will remain in our consciousness as long as we are alive. Our deepest sympathy to Eileen and the rest of the family. Herb and Jane McLure and Jenny Bowen. ([email protected])
