To John's family: He was my first friend. We played a lot. Fought a little. And had a few hair-raising adventures. I will never forget him and will miss him forever. There are no words of comfort I can think of for you Marie, Charlie, and Johns children. I can only say I will always think of him as Johnny, the boy who loved riding his bike, his cars, and playing baseball with us Spano kids. Nothing can diminish three generations of friendship. Not death. Not distance or time. Please know how very sorry and sad I am, and I know he is at peace and resting in the comfort in arms of angels.

With deep love,

Laurie Spano
