John Naylor Obituary

Naylor, John Halsey
age 67, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2016, at home. Stage 4 aggressive cancer, diagnosed just 3 weeks ago, quickly took him back to his heavenly home. He was blessed to endure minimal pain over a short period of time. John was born in Henderson, Nevada and grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. He earned a BA and MA in Accountancy from BYU. After graduating from BYU, John and Cheryl Naylor, moved to Mesa, Arizona, where they raised their family. For over 40 years he operated his own accounting business in Mesa, Arizona. In 2011, John married Ginger Naylor, whom John dearly loved. John is beloved by his wife, children and grandchildren. He made them all feel loved and secure. John's friends remember him as, "a highly intelligent person, a fierce and skilled athletic competitor, a highly principled person and most of all, someone of impeccable character." John's family, friends, clients and colleagues knew him to be an easy going person with a gentle heart, strong faith and a loving and gentle manner. His dry wit and wonderful sense of humor always livened every encounter. John was kind and soft-spoken, and always had time to answer a question or solve a problem, no matter how small. John was a sports enthusiast and coached a variety of youth athletic teams. He was a wonderful provider-frugal in his money management so he could be generous with his time and means. John is survived by his wife, Ginger Lee Morgan Naylor, his children, Michael Naylor, Benjamin Naylor, Amber Aldous, Amanda Anderson, and Timothy Morgan Naylor, his step-son, Bradford Buskirk, and many grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Robert Naylor and Kathryn Naylor, and his former wife, Cheryl Naylor. His parents, Charles Irwin Naylor and Ruth Ida May Griswold Naylor, and his brother, Thomas Naylor, preceded him in death. On Thursday, August 4th, a viewing will be held at Bunker Family Chapel (3529 E. University Dr. near intersection of Val Vista) in Mesa, AZ from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. A brief second viewing will also be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 3340 S. Signal Butte Rd. (just north of Elliot Rd.) from 8:30-9:05 a.m. on Friday, August 5, 2016. A memorial Service will follow at the same church at 9:30 a.m.

John was my brother in law, married my sister Cheryl. I have found memories of him as a child when we lived in Las Vegas. I have some fun home movies with him. Thanks for being a in a special part of my life with my family. Love to his children and grandchildren and their families. You had an awesome father and grandpa.
Til we meet again John.
Eternal Love,
