Schardt, John M.
81 of Phoenix, passed away on December 29, 2016. He was born in Chicago, Illinois and came to Arizona in 1956 while serving in the U.S. Air Force. John was stationed at Williams Air Force Base. John had a private pilot's license and enjoyed taking his kids flying when they were young. He was a machinist by trade until retirement. He is survived by his wife Diane, children; John Schardt, Laurie Langley and Mitzi Schardt, step-children; Phil, Jim and Don Moriarity; Brothers; Andy, Jim and Mike Schardt; 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 P.M., Thursday, January 5, 2017 with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M., at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, in Phoenix. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M., Friday, January 6, 2017, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 5045 E. Thomas Road, in Phoenix. Interment with Military Honors to follow at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona at 1:00 P.M.

To Mitzi , Laurie, and Johnny.
Im so sorry to hear of your Dad passing.
He was a good man, I remember that he was always working on the airplane that he was building. Some of the best memories of my life were spent in his house. I hope that all of your families are in good health and are doing great.
