John Norris Steverson

Thousand Oaks, CA - 81, passed away Dec. 11th, 2017 in Thousand Oaks, CA. John is a beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, who's love and joy will be deeply missed!

John was born Nov 4th, 1936, in Mesa, AZ. He will join his Father, Norris J. Steverson and birth mother Dora Ellsworth, sister Barbara, and grandson Arthur. He is survived by his faithful and devoted wife of 41 years, Zenida, daughters LeeAnne and Bonnie, including his grandchildren Rainy, Joe, Vanessa, and Aiden. Also surviving are his mother Margaret LeSueur Steverson, brothers Bill (Karen), Joe (Aurora), Chuck and Jim (Kathy) and sisters Anne (Harvey) Cook and Jenny (Steve) Townsend.

Following in his father's footsteps, John was a star athlete at Mesa High School and received offers to play football at West Point, Oklahoma and the University of Arizona. He worked for Greyhound in San Francisco and as a heavy equipment operator in Southern California.

John will forever be remembered for his love of his family and for his passion of music. He entertained many with his outstanding guitar playing while singing country music. Memorial will be at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, on Saturday Jan. 13th at 1911 N 24th St., Mesa, AZ 85213 at 11:00am.
