Jonathan Sutherland Obituary
21, of Phoenix, Az passed away on July 3, 2010. Jonathan Lee Sutherland, 21, passed away on July 3rd, 2010. He was born August 26, 1988 in Phoenix, Arizona. Jonathan was actively serving in the Navy; ranked Aviation Ordnanceman 3rd Class Petty Officer, and was stationed onboard the USS H.W. Bush. Jonathan excelled at everything he put his heart and mind to. In the words of his Captain, "Jonathan mastered the latest technology. His services will be sorely missed." He is survived by his wife, Alexa Sutherland; his father, Lee J. Sutherland; his mother, Laura McEnroe; and siblings, Christopher, Dallas, Sheldon, Caiden, and Gavin; and his Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, cousins, and friends too numerous to mention Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday July 13, 2010 at 10am at the South Sanctuary of Calvary Community Church located at 12612 North Black Canyon Highway Phoenix, Az 85029. Committal Ceremony to follow at Phoenix Memorial Park & Mortuary at 200 West Beardsley Road Phoenix, Az 85027. The family invites all friends and relatives to the services as well as to the Celebration of Life Reception to take place at Crowne Plaza Hotel in Phoenix; 2532 West Peoria Ave Phoenix, Az 85029. Although our hearts are broken we are comforted by the memory of the caliber of his character, and the way he lived his life with such enthusiasm and determination. Those who knew Jon comment overwhelmingly on his joyous personality and beautiful smile. He always showed amazing courage, strength, compassion for others, and integrity. He will always be cherished, loved, and remembered.

Jon... Everyday i feel your presence here on earth, but it still does not seem real. I keep thinking you cannot talk because you are out at sea. This is one of the hardest things I will have to accept and deal with. I am doing really big things in my life right now to help me deal with this... I am going to always miss you forever and ever. I wish you were here to see how many people are doing better things in their lives because of you and are motivated now. Love you forever. Make sure you save spots up there for all of us. <3.. BTW your bday is this thursday and i am sick but i will still celebrate for you as best as i can!

I can't put into words how truly blessed I am to have been able to call you my husband. You are by far and will always be the best thing that has ever happened to me. You've given me something I will take with me forever. I miss your smile and the way you knew how to light up a room. There's not a person in the world who will ever be able to take your place. I'll keep a spot in my heart for you forever. Watch over us until the day we finally meet again. I love you Jon and may you rest in peace.

Our hearts go out to Jonathan's wife and family. We were so saddened to learn of his passing. He and Alexa were wonderful residents in our apartment community and that's how we came to know them. We just can't stop thinking about them. Please know you are all in our thoughts and prayers.

I remember Jon the most when we were at wrestling practice. he was so energetic and upbeat. He always had a smile on his face. He gave his team great support. I just wish I could have thanked him for his service for protecting our freedom. Rest In Peace dear friend we will miss you. My heart goes out to his family just remember the dead can hear our thoughts and he knows you guys miss him.
