It was only today I learned of your passing. We spoke only a couple of times 18 years ago but I never forgot that act of kindness you showed me. It planted a seed of compassion in my heart, and an example I have carried with me ever since. It is my deepest regret and sorrow for never having said thank you. I hope one day I get the chance. All my love and deepest condolences to your family. May they be granted peace and understanding. Like many, I am a better person for having met you. Thank you Kori!!

Kori,
Well, it's been almost 5 years since you left us and now, tomorrow, I fly to Kelly's to say goodbye to your father and my Uncle. So much has happened since you left and I believe that you and Grandma helped me get through my toughest time. Your dad is in a better place now, away from all the pain and sorrow of loosing you. He now has your hand to hold every day. I miss you and think of you every day. Love you!

Kori,
It's been almost 2 years since you left us but you are still in my heart and mind everyday. I found a picture of you sitting on a boulder at my parents house...you must have been about 2 or 3. You were beautiful then and you still are today! Always smiling and laughing. I have a picture of you at my house for one of the kids birthday parties after you were all grown up...still beautiful and talented! Very talented! Codie wants to be a chef like you now! Wish you were here to teach her...she would love you. Well, I hope you and Grandma are busing at baking and having fun! Make some Ginger Snaps for us please. I miss you dearly cousin!! I will see you again someday! I love you Kori!

Hi Karen and Keith,
I am deeply saddened and shocked to hear that Kori passed away. I met Kori during my days at ASU. Her great personality and warm demeanor drew me to be very good friends with her. She was a great friend and a tremendous source of inspiration to me. Kori helped lay the foundation for me to adapt to life in this country when I was still new here. I learnt a lot from her and will always be grateful to her for that.
Words are inadequate at a time like this. I will miss her dearly but she will always live in my memories. Please accept my sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Sincerely,
Arvind Raghu

To Kori Jacobson's Family
I'm so sorry to read about the death of your love one. Nothing can take away the heartache and pain we feel when we lose a love one in death, but God's word can give us a measure of comfort. God assures us: "He is near to those that are broken at heart and those who are crushed in spirit he saves."(Ps. 34:18) God knows the heartache at time seems unbearable so he he tell us:' to throw your burden upon him and he will sustain you'(Ps 55:22)He is a God of "Love"(1 John 4:8) He does care about us and soon he promise to bring an end to all sorry. He said he is 'making all things new and death will be no more."(Rev.21:3,4)
Jesus also promise a "resurrection" to life. Therefore we have the hope of seeing our love ones again in a Paradise Earth. Until that time I hope that your warm memories of Kori along with these words of God will bring comfort, and give you hope in this time of grief.
You have my deepest sympathy

Karen,
I did not know Kori...her picture caught my attention as I was writing in my daughters legacy page. I am so sorry for your loss. Unfortunately I can truely say "I know how much this hurts"...My daughter Janelle Bertot died Nov. 14, 2004 from an accidental Carbon Monoxide poisoning while on a date. Even though years come and go we "moms" never, ever forget our children. My prayers are with you and your family. Kori was a beautiful woman, and I am sure that you and your family are very proud of what she did during her short stay here on earth.
God Bless you,
Barbara Bertot RN

Karen my sympathy to you on the loss of Kori. Nothing can stop the pain. One thing that can help ease the pain is God's word the Bible. And there He assures us: "Jehovah is near to those that are broken at heart and those who are crushed in spirit he saves. The Bible gives you hope of being with Kori again in the very near future, right here on a paradise earth. The Bible also promises us that our enemy death will be done away with. Karen may these words give you and your family a measure of comfort and strength to endure in this time of such deep sorrow.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

I had only known Kori for less than a year, but in that year, we were inseparable and connected to each other in a way I never imagined possible. She and I were best friends and would spend hours telling each other everything, trying to figure out life or just sitting around laughing about nothing. Kori and I had a friendship that very few people will ever be lucky enough to experience. We always said how unbelievable it was to have found one another and form a bond that you may only encounter a few times in your life. She was the most loving, caring, and giving woman I have ever known. I will miss Kori more than I ever thought was possible because she affected my life in such an amazing way. I thank her for what she taught me and for all the times that we spent together. I love you Kori!
