Dearest Larry,

Your service was beautiful--more than 100 of your friends and family attended. The 'Ol Gang went to Miggie B's for dinner in your honor! Your dear friend, "Safeway Bob" honored your wishes, and gave Maxx a beautiful and loving home. Joe L. and I went to The Good Egg and a movie today...just doesn't seem the same without you! I miss you, dear friend and always will...

Larry,

You will always be my ARIZONA and Sarah's PAPPA LARRY.
Only you Larry; you had me laughing during childbirth. After Sarah was born, you held her and she went right to sleep in your gentle arms.
Your love and kind heart will always be felt within each of us who knew you.

Larry,

I feel blessed to have known you while I was in Arizona and have so many fond memories of movies, dinners, and doing countless things with you. Hikes, phone calls, trips to California, the Greg Louganis booking signing in Scottsdale - far too many things to recount here.

You will be missed by very many people because you touched our lives with your caring and your humor. You were always there for us and you will be in our hearts always.

I am still in shock since hearing of Larry's passing. I will miss our conversations at the gym, seeing him on Sunday mornings at the Good Egg and running into him at other social events. Larry was a good friend to me and will be deeply missed. May he rest in peace.

From the first time I met Larry at Brazil, a nightclub in Scottsdale in Oct 1986, I knew he was an extraordinary man.
Over the years, he became a close and trusted friend. Larry often made me laugh with his spontaneous humor and sharp wit.
He was a great planner, notorious for co-ordinating events: birthday celebrations, concerts, movies, breakfasts or dinners, even afternoon hikes taking along Maxx, his 3 year old Golden Lab. Larry was the catalyst for bringing his friends together.
He was especially proud of his new home and was becoming a wonderful host and cook. He has left many fond memories for Lance & I in an all too short life.
Rest in peace, Larry. You are in our hearts forever.

"Daddy Larry",

I remember meeting you at the gym when I first moved to Phoenix. I was just a "young boy" of 24 and knew no one. You took me under your wing, and we became instant friends. You played an important role in a definitive time of my life. I'll never forget your caring nature and incredible sense of humor.

Say "hi" to Patrick for me.

Always your friend,

March 29, 2006

Larry- how sad to have you taken at such an early age

Larry,

The great entertainer, but even greater, the educator to those in our industry fortunate enough to have sought and gained your knowledge.

I've prospered many times over from your product knowledge, but many times more, from your friendship.

Hoping you are in GOD's hands and loving care, I say farewell.

Larry, I will always treasure our friendship and keep you in my heart. It's hard to imagine not meeting at Pookies for one of our many celebrations, or for Sunday brunch at the Good Egg, or gossiping about who knows who or what. You will be missed by so many. Love you always .......

Dearest Larry,

Words cannot express how I am feeling at this time. Your being taken from this earth so suddenly has left an aching void in my life and in my heart.

I vividly recall meeting you in Petsmart on my birthday five years ago and you asked me to join you and your friends for a movie that afternoon. Since then our friendship grew and has meant so much to me. I will always cherish the memories, trips and fun times we shared.

I will miss you my friend. May God give you everlasting peace and love in heaven and know our love is with you until we meet again.

Love ya,

Joe

Larry has left many friends behind, friends who now find themselves feeling shocked and so very saddened. His time on this earth affected a multitude of people in such a positive way. Larry's unexpected passing has impacted more souls than even he would have realized. May time serve to soften their grief, and comfort them as they reflect upon their loss.

My son Kevin and I were lucky enough to meet Larry years ago through Dianne G. We were not in touch for many years but fortunately we all were able to meet for dinner earlier this month at Larry's home. Larry was a great host, what a fun evening. We thought that now that we had reconnected we would have more fun times, but alas it was not to be.

Rest in peace, Larry, we will always remember you.

In loving memory of my dear friend, Larry. I will always remember all the fun times we had together--going on trips to San Diego, Flagstaff, and Nogales, shopping at the Fashion Square, movies at the Esplande, dinners at Pookie's, or just sitting around your beautiful new home with friends. I feel comfort knowing you're in heaven with your family, friends, and Max. Larry, I love you and I will miss you forever...

Larry was a very caring and wonderful person. His smile was warm and friendly and made you feel at ease. As with all of us his daughter was a very important part of his life, I'm glad he just spent time with her during her spring break. He will be missed greatly by his peers and friends. God has a plan for Larry and I know he's there doing his part.

Larry you are so missed. We love you so much. I thank God that your Sarah and I got to spend time with you a few weeks ago. It was like old times. Larry I love you and I miss you

Here is a poem your Godchild wrote.

FOREVER

By Sarah

As we get older

We become wiser.

We learn how to love

We learn how to hurt.

Time never slows down.

Seems like yesterday,

We were making pies,

In the cold, gooey mud.

We played with our dolls

And our G.I. Joes.

Everyone wishes,

There was a forever

And we wouldn't have to grow older.

I love you Pappa Larry
