Lillian M. Cascketta

Lillian M. Cascketta, 82, of Phoenix, AZ, passed in life on May 9, 2006 after a bout with pneumonia. Born Lillian Matilda Troedson, on July 21, 1923, she married Mike Angelo Cascketta and had five sons. After moving to Arizona in 1958, they settled in South Phoenix and became members of St. Catherine of Siena Parish. She developed many friends while running an "in home" business. Those friends will remember the wonderful barbeques and picnics which she sponsored to keep an active social life outside the home. She worked at the First National Bank to help support the family during the times when Mike experienced health issues that kept him away for months at a time. Lillian also became one of the first female Postal carriers in the 1960's. She is survived by her sons and their wives; Bruce (Gail), James (Mari), Michael (Mitzi), Karl, and Mark (Joanna); 10 grandchildren; Heidi, Paula, Sal, AJ, Antone, Brett, Melissa, Bryan, Eric, and Sean; and one great grandchild, Kaylin Rolle. Visitation is 8:00-9:00 AM, Monday, May 15, 2006, with an 8:15 AM Rosary, at St. Catherine of Siena, 6200 South Central Ave., Phoenix, AZ. Mass will follow at 9:00 AM, at St. Catherine of Siena, on Monday, May 15, as well. Arrangements entrusted to Lowmans Arizona Funeral Home, Inc.
