Lon Petersen Obituary
61, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on August 6, 2016. He was born in Phoenix July 11, 1955. Graduated Arcadia High School and went into carpentry, were he became known for his skilled craftsmanship. He could cleverly fix or build most anything and spent much of his time helping his friends in need. An Arizona desert rat, Lon loved fishing, NASCAR and a good four wheeling adventure. Wonderful father, friend and good man, he will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his mother Dolly, brother Dale and daughter Abby. His father was Ray "Pete". Celebration of life will be held on August 20th at 2:00 pm at Harvey's Wine Burger, N. 16th Street (his favorite watering hole).

It's been eons since I last saw Lon, but I'll never forget that he brought his dog Murphy with him to all the "gatherings," and he'd say "Sing, Murphy, sing," and Murphy would howl and it was joyous. In a perfect world, there's a lot of howling going on up there.

My sincere condolences go out to Lon's family. I've known Lon for many years and he is definitely one of the good guys. He will be missed.
