Marlene Jackson-Oviedo Obituary

Jackson-Oviedo, Marlene Jean
passed away at the age of 79 on April 23. Marlene was born in Chicago on July 22, 1935 as the youngest child of Emil and Pauline Schmidt. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Alice (Nowakowski), Eleanore (Schroeter), Eric and Elaine (Leavitt). Marlene was married to Victor A. Jackson for 43 years before his death. They raised their three children in Lansing, IL. In 1993, they moved to Mesa. She was later married to William Oviedo for 12 years before his death. Marlene is survived by her daughter Carrie (Fred) Wilkerson of Herndon, VA and sons Randy (Melodie) Jackson of Mesa and Bruce Jackson of Chandler. She truly loved her grandchildren: Tanina, Marin, Christopher, Alexander, Morgan, Makena, Kristin, Sean, Kelley, Shannon and Kendra. Services at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 2745 N. 32nd Street, Mesa on Monday, April 27. Visitation at 9 AM with services to follow. Donations can be made to the church or the Lutheran Thrift Shop of Mesa.
