Michael Alcocer Obituary
46, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Rancho Santa Margarita, California on Wednesday, August 19, 2015. Michael was born April 13, 1969 in Miami, Arizona to Ruben and Jeri Darlene Alcocer. He was raised in Glendale, Arizona attending Pioneer Elementary School and graduating from Cactus High School. Michael served in the U.S. Navy after graduation. He worked as a trim carpenter in the construction industry for many years. Michael was a talented craftsman building many beautiful pieces of wood work. He was known for crosses he designed and built from scrap pieces of lumber and for sharing his crosses with friends and family. He is survived by his father, Ruben Alcocer of Glendale, AZ, mother and step father, Jeri and Jim Ward of Goodyear, AZ, son, Jacob Teplansky Alcocer of Colorado Springs, CO, daughter, Breanna Anderson of Peoria, AZ, and stepsisters Alicia Pollard and Wendy Ward of Phoenix, AZ. Michael was predeceased by his brother, Christopher Alcocer in 1995. A memorial service has been held. His cremains have been placed next to his brother, Christopher Alcocer, at Resthaven Park Cemetery in Glendale, Arizona. Donations may be made in his memory to the Arizona Humane Society, P.O. Box 90610, Phx, AZ 85066-0610.
