Michael Dauk Obituary

Michael Joseph Dauk, 62, of Phoenix passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2005 at the VA Medical Center. Mickey's family would like to thank all the doctors, staff and volunteers for the care, friendship and love they gave him; it was outstanding. Michael was born in St. James, Minnesota on May 16, 1942. The son of Joseph Hubert Dauk and Mary Jane Ellis. His family moved to Sunnyslope, Arizona in 1945. He attended J.B. Sutton grade school and Carl Hayden High School. He served in the US Navy on the USS Oak Hill. Michael worked as a parts manager for White Trucking Co. in Phoenix and Oxnard, California. He also worked at Big T's Freightliner of Ventura, California as a parts manager in 2001. His brother, Robert; sister, Dee Ann; mother and father preceded him in death. He is survived by son, Creig Matthew, wife Yolanda of Albuquerque, New Mexico; son Timothy Michael of California; Micki Danielle, husband Rick Mauzy; 9 grandchildren, sister Barbara and brother-in-law William Holcomb. Graveside service with Military Honors will be Friday, January 28, 2005 at 10:30 am at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Carl T. Hayden Veterans Medical Center or the American Cancer Society.
