Our wonderful, precious husband, father and grandfather "Pop" was lifted up to Heaven on April 25, 2009 at the age of 83. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Isabella of 59 years, his devoted daughter Patrice Kreitler, his son Michael, 4 grandchildren Alec, Austin, Michael and Nicole and 3 sisters Angela, Tessie and Nancy. He is preceded in death by sisters Rose and Mary. He was raised in Williston Park, NY, lived in East Patchogue, NY for 25 years as a self employed barber and known in town to everyone as Mike the Barber, he retired to Pinehurst, NC 14 years ago where he enjoyed playing golf. He recently moved to Mesa, AZ in 2007 to be near his grandchildren and enjoy the Arizona lifestyle which was his life long dream. He was an active member in the Bellport Rotary for 25 years and was awarded the Paul Harris Fellow award, the highest honor awarded. He served in the U.S. Navy in WWII and was very active in the Catholic Church all of his life. Mike was an honorable devoted man to his family and gave generously to many charities contributing to the homeless and veterans throughout all communities he served. He was cherished and loved very much by his family and his memory will live on in our hearts forever. Visitation is at Mountain View Funeral Home Chapel, 7900 E. Main St., Mesa, AZ on Tuesday April 28, 2009 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. The funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 1244 S. Power Rd., Mesa, AZ.
