It took me a long time to find this site. Patty, I have so many memories of you. From the time you were a baby to the time I helped care for you as a toddler. Then again when I watched after you when Sharon was born. We grew so close in the relationship that we knew together. There were times when miles separated us but when we were together again it seemed as if time had stood still. I miss your love and caring way - the long talks we once shared. You were such a beautiful person and now you are a beautiful angel singing in God's choir. Hug Johnny for me.

I was greatly saddened to hear of Patty's loss and was not aware of this on line guest book. My sisters (Judy and Cheryl) have both posted notes; sorry to post my note at such a late date. I grew up next to the Francis family on Minnezona Ave along with my sisters in the 60's and early 70's and were friends with all the Francis children-Patty, Sharon and Gary. I have many fond memories of Patty--for instance, she was quite talented on the accordion. We played together--even though she was slightly older than I was and probably tolerated me as a younger kid. I remember her as somewhat shy but always friendly and fun. She evidently became highly accomplished as an adult--and though our lives went separate ways post high school I never have forgotten our friendship with the Francis family and have stay loosely connected thru time all these years. Patty passed away in an unfortunate event seemingly before her time--but she seems to have lived a life as full as many who live to a ripe old age. She obviously knew how to live life to the fullest and how to give of herself at a high level to those in need--having both qualities in one person is truly rare and special. It was a honor to know you, Patty. We will miss you but take solice that we will all see you on the other side. Bill Allen

Patty was my Coumadin advisor over the last year. She always remembered me by name and greeted me with a smile.

Patty's office walls were covered in fascinating pictures of her two loves........family and travel. I enjoyed many long talks with Patty on her favorite two subjects.

Patty is missed everyday by people that her family never even met. Patty made a huge difference in my life - and I know in the lives of all of her patients.

Patty was my cousin, and my friend. She influenced my life as my role model. Patty showed me how you can have a balance between a successful career and a strong relationship with family. She was always positive and upbeat. I will miss her smile. We will never forget you, Patty. You have truly left a legacy.

Dear Francis Family: You will remember me as Judy Allen, daughter of Bill and Vi Allen, who lived next door to you for years on Minnezona. I just heard of Patty's passing and am so very saddened. I remember Patty as a sweet person and I understand she grew up to be an exceptional individual. She will be missed deeply. I will pray for you to find the strength to get through this and live your lives knowing she left a part of herself in everyone she knew and in that way she lives on. With deepest sympathy....Judith (Allen) Vise

It is the way of life for people to drift apart and not see each other as is sadly the case with Patty and my family. I haven't seen Patty since I lived next door to her in the 60s and 70s and often was the sitter for Patty and her siblings. We both went our separate ways as life's events would take us. I did manage to keep in touch with her parents, Joanne and Wilbur, through all these years. And even had a surprise and unexpected encounter with Sharon, Patty's sister, and her mom recently. Unfortunately, Patty wasn't there. Patty had a full life and appears to have made the most of it, being a mother and grandmother as well as an accomplished professional, giving to others, as well as enjoying her travels. She chose to give in the medical field as a nurse while I chose to give in the education field as a teacher, the same as her dad and mom. I regret never getting to see you for so many years, Patty, but you know you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers now.

Patty,

It was a pleasure to have had the opportunity to work alongside you at Affiliated Cardiologists of Arizona during my short 8 months of employment there. You were a wonderful and caring person to work with and your attributes to the medical profession will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace Patty.

I recall Patty to be a strength and support for people. She worked hard as a nurse. She was the nurse you hear about in nursing school. Knowledgable, caring, patient with people, critical thinker in nursing. I remember her interaction with patient's in the office and with people she was close to during their time of illness. At that time I was a secretary who worked with her. During my transition to RN in nursing school.. her face would come to my mind. Here is a amazing woman who is a nurse. Someone to look up to. I am glad to know Patty during that time in my life.
