still thinking of you Paul
August 31, 2012
Dear Dianne,
I was your first next door neighbor on Mountain View Road and will always remember the kindness that you and Paul brought into my life, when I was struggling. I will always be grateful for that and am thinking about you, now.
love,

Diane, thinking about you everyday. Jeff enjoyed working with Paul and thought so highly of him! He really appreciated Paul helping out with his clients. Jeff told me that Paul had invited us to dinner with you and we were looking forward to making that happen after summer travels. You have always been an inspiration, and would love to have dinner, or coffee or hike with you if you would be up for that. Sending friendship, and so much love.

To The Ruderman Family - I practiced law with Paul and we served on the State Bar Communications Committee for years together. Paul was the shining light to every meeting we attended, month after month! He bragged about all of you all of the time, and I saw picture after picture of football games, kids and college tours. I am devastated to hear of his loss, and I regret I was out of town at the time of his funeral. I know words cannot heal the pain of your loss, but I hope you will find comfort knowing that he really did make the world a better place to live and work in, and that he truly loved each and every one of you.
My prayers are with all of you.

My memories of Rudy are all very positive, especially remembering our younger days. Meeting Rudy freshman year at Wes as a hallmate, writing a song with Rudy and Bill Conley which is still sung today, "I Left my Baloney in the Chinese Laundry" (Rudy's title of course), and having him make me look silly using vocabulary that I did not understand in normal conversation. His wit will stay with me forever.
God Bless to all the Ruderman family

Dianne, Michael and Elizabeth, I just arrived back in town and heard the tragic news. I don't even know where to begin to tell you how sorry I am for you and the kids. Although I probably haven't seen you since Dana and Michael graduated, you are in my thoughts. Please take care of yourselves. Fondly, Sara Becker

Dianne - I was out of the city and was unable to be at the service Monday, but was with you in spirit. I so remember the times we had with you and Paul as couples, and with Michael, Elizabeth and Benjamin. I can see us standing in your kitchen - you making dinner accompanied by Paul's quick wit. Knowing how difficult things have been, I hope it is these moments that bring you comfort.

Dianne, We are so sorry to hear about Paul. We will always remember Seth and him singing at our wedding 20 years ago. You are a courageous woman to do what you did for your wonderful husband and we given so much credit. Thank you for sharing at the service, and we give our love to you and your family. Always, Jeff and Mandy Welsheimer

I'm sorry that I could not attend the service today but our family was well represented by Vickie and Aaron. To say that Paul was known for his wit and humor is certainly an accurate depiction. Beyond the sometimes grufff exterior, Paul was also a very caring individual. Whenever we spoke, he always asked about the family and how each member was doing. He would also ask about the dog! Paul would light up each time he would recount how our daughter put a rubber band around the dog's leg requiring a visit to the Vet when the dog started limping. That was one of a number of humorous stories that Paul liked to tell.
Catman 1 will miss Rudy.
With deepest sympathy,

Dianne: I was as shocked as many to hear of Paul's passing. You were very courageous to tell us all about how hard you and Paul fought his illness. It helped me understand what your family was up against, and how vicious of a disease depression can be. I am sorry it took Paul from his family so soon. As you could tell by the number of people who came to be with your family at today's services, Paul touched a lot of lives and will be greatly missed.

Therese and I wish to convey our deepest sympathy to the family of Paul Ruderman. Paul helped us with legal advise in construction at Kitchell Contractors years ago and I remember him to be very dedicated and a kind person.

Dear Diane, Michael and Elizabeth, I will remember my cousin for four things: The fun we had together at I.U., his dark humor, how he fell in love with you Diane, and the love he always expressed for his wife and kids.
My deepest sympathies, Lauren Berg

Dianne, Elizabeth and Michael - it was a pleasure getting to know you while training Romeo. Paul loved that dog and we always laughed about his antics. I am so sorry for your loss. Paul was a genuinely sincere person with a fantastic wit and sense of humor.

Paul was an intelligent, thoughtful lawyer who cared deeply for providing excellent legal services for his clients. I was honored to practice with him early in both of our careers. His devotion to his family was always evident. He has left a positive mark on this earth and I know he will be welcomed by the angels.
