Perry Damone Obituary

Damone, Perry
Perry Damone, a devout Christian, who enthusiastically embraced life, never met a stranger, looked forward to fantasy football games with his dad, cheered for the Arizona Cardinals, enjoyed an occasional gin martini along with a fine cigar after a round of golf, devoured fast food as well as fine Italian cuisine, received the loudest applause during karaoke events, and ultimately inspired everyone involved as he faced his terminal illness diagnosis with determination and dignity, died peacefully on Tuesday, December 9, 2014, in Scottsdale, Arizona. Perry was born in Los Angeles, on August 21, 1955, to the handsome, legendary singer, Vic Damone and the late stunning motion picture actress, Pier Angeli. Perry's childhood fascination, involving his admiration of Los Angeles radio disc jockeys, resulted in his pursuit of a successful career in broadcasting, which included a fifteen-year, top-rated show on the Phoenix radio station, 99.9 KEZ. His broadcasting devotion never waned and being a visionary, he established his proudest achievement, KidStar Network, which educates and empowers children across the US and abroad, enabling them to broadcast their messages to the world. The Damone family hopes to maintain Perry's legacy and appreciates considerations of tax-deductible donations to KidStar Radio through the website: kidstar.org - Become a Kidstar Champion Today. A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for 4:00p.m, Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Christ's Church of Fountain Hills, 15555 East Bainbridge Avenue, Fountain Hills, Arizona.

I went to college with him in Richmond, Surrey, England. I will never forget him. A good, fun loving person. RIP

I was shocked to read of Perry's passing. Much too young. Strangely enough, I worked with him at Hughes Aircraft Co. in 1979. He did disco DJ work after hours. True what's being said, a very sweet man.

Perry was so kind to me when I first met him. His kindness was infectious. You wanted to be a better person because of him. My dad cherishes the time he got to meet Perry and adored him, as did I. We will miss you, Perry. But I take comfort knowing there is this special angel in Heaven named Perry Damone.

To Perry's family,

I was so shocked and saddened to see the news of Perry's passing. I knew him only as a listener to KESZ, and met him a few times at station events and live remote broadcast. What an incredibly nice man, who always spoke with such love of his family. Prayers for grace and healing for you all.

To Perry's family...I am so so sorry to read this very sad news...Perry was always one of the nicest guys in the business...always so accommodating working with him on radio projects, commercials and later on, while we were both involved with the Limeliters promotion, What a champ...he put 200% into everything he did...he is just "One of the Good Guys" You will be missed very much...REST IN PEACE...PERRY...god bless your family.

We'll miss our great friend. Everything Perry did he threw his whole heart & soul into it, and we all benefited from that. So glad we got to spend some time together in the last year.
