Unfortunately my time with Peter was at the end of life. So with the thousands of patients I have taken care of or been a part of their journey to peace I remember Peter and his loving family.
I remember the huge support group he had

Eleanor, it was so good to see you and Pete at the Roost a few years ago - Pat's 50th Birthday party - perhaps the first time since high school? Time races away from us so quickly. We will keep you, your family and Pete in our good thoughts and prayers.

Dear Eleanor and all the Cambells,

I was away until yesterday, so I missed the funeral. I heard that it was a wonderful tribute to a great man. I met Eddie and Carol and knew that Pete had a short time left, so he and you have been in my prayer.

I am sincerely sorry for your loss .

Best always,

Char Bloom

Dear Eleanor and Family:

I doubt that you have ever heard my name before. I was a classmate of Pete’s in THE GLASS SCHOOL up through 3rd grade, when I changed schools. I returned to VI in the 10th grade, however in the transitions I slipped a grade and Pete was then a Junior. He was the only member of the class who remembered me and that fact has remained with me since.
I have always held a special kinship with Pete and was stunned at the news of his passing. I send my profound sympathy to the entire Campbell family for the loss of a truly compassionate, faithful, friendly, and caring person. While I was mostly at a distance he is one due respect and love.
Surely he is with his Savior and receiving the rewards of an outstanding life. May God bless Pete and his family.

Eleanor and Family,
I was so very sorry to hear about Peter. Although I also grew up in Albany, I first met Peter in Phoenix a number of years ago. He was a gentleman in the truest sense of the word. Peter will always be remembered for his strong faith and love of family and friends. Many of us will miss his wonderful smile, quick wit and his ability to make people feel special. May he rest in peace.

Dear Eleanor and the entire Campbell Family,

Our thoughts and prayers are with Peter and the Family. We spoke often about a lot of things and what impressed me most was how Peter always thought big and looked forward. But my fondest memories are about our old Pine Hills neighborhood, recalling long-gone places like Stittig's, Clapp's Book Store, The Smoker, Petit Parris and the liquor store where Peter worked as a youngster. They're all gone now but not forgotten, like our friend, Peter Campbell.
