Ray Vidal Obituary
74, passed away peacefully at Sherman Hospice Home on Feb. 13, 2017 after a struggle with melanoma cancer. Ray was born in Los Angeles, CA. the youngest of 5 children of Lucio and Esperanza Vidal. Ray retired from the US Postal Service after 35 years as a letter carrier. He retired again from the Paradise Valley school district where he was a bus driver for special needs children. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, brother Rudy, sister Laura and stepson Erik. He is survived by his wife Merrikay and their blended family: daughters, Sherri (Don) Lockwood, Heidi (Larry) Weis and son Brad (Kathy) Thompson. Grandchildren, Rachal, Benjamin, and Ashley. Also surviving sisters Aurora (Dora) Altamirano and Ophelia Ehart as well as many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral Services were held yesterday at Grace Bible Church. Graveside Services will be held tomorrow at 10am Monday, Feb 20th at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix. Memorials and special thanks to Hospice of the Valley for their compassionate care.

Uncle Raymond, First , I would like to thank you for the many years that you let myself and Steve Jr live at your house off 43rd and Bethany. You were more than an Uncle, you were a True Friend that would go out of your way to help anyone! Thanks for the many Sports talks that we shared throughout the years !
