Springborn, Robert Allen (Bob)
76, of Phoenix passed away on November 12, 2012. Robert Allen Springborn passed away on November 12, 2012, at home with his family. Bob, as most people knew him, was born and raised in Naperville, Illinois. He joined the United States Air Force where he served under a few commands before honorably returning to his home town. Bob moved with his family to Scottsdale, Arizona in 1969 where he helped run a family business. Bob was also well known for his time as a bartender, most notably at J. Chews in old town Scottsdale, and his never-ending support for the Oakland/Los Angeles/Oakland Raiders. He is survived by his sister Nancy (Harold Koerner), his former wife Mary Lynn Walters, their three daughters, Wendy, Juli (Michael Warzynski) and Jodi (Rick Andro) and son, Steve (Bonnie). Bob also had nine grandchildren, Josh, Nick, Matt, Alex, Jamie, Katie, Carver, Remi and Brogan and one great-grandchild, Liam. A celebration of life will be held at Chances Are, 6th Avenue and Miller Road, in Scottsdale, on Saturday November 24th from 1pm-3pm. Donations can be made to Hospice of the Valley.
