Our deepest condolences to his family. Robert was a great friend of the Buffalo Soldiers. We proudly wear necklaces he beaded for us. I was a Navy Corpsman. He made me a Corpsman necklace. As sick as he was he was always cheerful and thankful. We will miss you, buddy. Say hello to Chesty!

Robert will be missed and I hold great memories of him in my heart. He was a true American Hero, serving valiantly in Vietnam. He worked to make this world a better place and his kind heart opened up to Gold Star families and enveloped us with his love. I will wear one of the necklaces he gave me as he is being laid to rest. While I live too far away to attend, I will be there in spirit.
