Mesa - It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our great husband, father and friend, Robert Charles Jacot. He passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021 in the early morning in Mesa, AZ.

Bob was born September 4, 1932 in Logansport, Indiana, the son of Dean and Alice Jacot. He remained in Logansport until entering the military service in the Army on January 5, 1953. He spent the majority of his military service in Korea, earning the Korean Service Medal, UN Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and National Defense Service Medal. When he was honorably discharged from the service, he returned to Logansport and remained there until 1959 when he relocated to Arizona and began his career in Engineering. Bob worked in that specialty at Air Research/Garrett until retiring in 1992.

Bob was an avid outdoorsman (hunting/fishing/camping) and traveled throughout the western United States pursuing his hobbies. He enjoyed those trips with many friends but treasured most the time that he spent out in the woods with his son, Bob. He was especially proud of his hunting accomplishments as can be seen in his trophy room at his family residence.

Bob was a very patriotic man and loved his country. He held memberships in the American Legion and the National Rifle Association. He was the first person to stand for the National Anthem when watching sporting events and frequently showed his patriotism by the clothing that he wore. Most of all, he loved the USA and was proud to let people know that.

Bob was predeceased by his mother Alice, father Dean and his sister Mary Herron. He is survived by his wife of 44 years Nancy, his sister Martha Hoops, his daughters Cindy Lee (Steve), Karen Johnson (Bob), Melanie Yates (Mike), Shelly McQuillen, his son Bob Jacot (Chris) and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A service with military honors to celebrate Bob's life will be held on May 8, 2021 at 2pm at Lakeshore Mortuary, 1815 S. Dobson Rd., Mesa, AZ 85202.
