Roberta Ulm Obituary

Roberta L. "Bert" Ulm, 68, passed away June 18, 2005 at her Scottsdale residence after courageously battling pancreatic cancer since November, 2003. She was born in Brighton, IA and relocated to Arizona October 30, 1984 where she was employed as an accountant for Kyle Jones Enterprises. She was an avid Valley sports fan. Survivors include her son Doug Ulm of Phoenix, daughter Shelly Deutsch and grandchildren Austin and Rachel Deutsch of Iowa City, IA. Friends may call 2 PM to 4 PM Sunday, June 26 at Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Rd., Scottsdale. Services will be held at a later date at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, IA with interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, Brighton, IA. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014 or the American Cancer Society, 2929 E. Thomas Rd., Phoenix, AZ, 85016.

My condolences to Doug and Corina and also to Shelly,Kirk, Austin and RAchel.

I have many fond memories of "Bert" and will treasure those times that we had together. Roberta was a very special person and has left many friends and family around the states. My sympathy's to all of you.

so sorry to hear of Roberta's passing. I had not seen h er for years but knew her as a young girl - her father and my father were first cousins and we all lived in Brighton at that time and it was a close very large family. My sympathy to all of you
